Question about Microsoft Virtual PC 2004

I have installed Windows 2000 Server on my pc trying to set up a virtual network.After installing and running Microsoft Virtual PC 2004 i get this message "Virtual PC is designed to run on Windows 2000 Professional and Windows XP Professional, which are the only
officialy supported configurations. Virtual PC might run on other operating systems, but these configurations will not be supported by Microsoft Product Support Services."
Will virtual pc 2004 work ok with this operating system or i will have to install one of these that the program suggests?

I have had all MS os's, and most linux's running on virtual pc before i switched to linux full time. It will basically work with anything.
