Question about memory...

Im sorta new with memory, and im noticeing while browsing in newegg, Latency: X-X-X-X. Is there a bare minimum for latency for a decent gaming computer? Some memory im looking at is OCZ Performance 512MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM. With a timing of 2-3-3-6. Is this any good?

Price/performance wise it generally only makes sense to get lower latency schtuff with the intent of o'erclocking the NB/CPU. Otherwise the moolah is better spent on greater memory capacity (to a point) or given 'nuff already, a peppier viddy card.

you dont need to spend more than $80 on a gig of ram unless you run it at high frequencies (overclocking). that OCZ is pretty darn cheap though, but if you arent OCing then spend the exra $30 on a better cpu or video card
