RE: HTPC in sig below.
In January I updated my HTPC's Pentium G620 to a Sandy i3 2100... all else being equal.
What I've noticed is an increased usage of the system RAM... where it was a rare event it tapped 2GB RAM with the Pentium, now it's regularly in the mid 2GBs and I even hit 4GB once (moving video files around.)
Does the i3 use RAM differently, or is it because it's a faster/bigger (2 cores + HT) CPU? Or is there a configuration issue, perhaps.
I've gone ahead and ordered a 2x4GB set of RAM to update it already, but I'm just curious...
