question about mdk2 and T&L option

i've been heard that there are more lightening effect in game w/ T&L option.
is it possible to enable T&L option with 'non-T&L' engine graphic card(kyro2)?
if is it possible, how much is performance hit?

Yes, it is possible and it will run in software mode, with a performance hit.
You have the hit in the review of the KyroII in AcesHardware

I play mdk2 with everything (T&L etc..) everything in the maximum settings ...
when I am playing the game, I don't know what are the fps but it's fluid (I am guessing that this game with kyro 2 never drops bellow 40 fps at 1280x1024x32) in windows 2000.

but I encountered a problem with windows 98 (this game don't want to run with kyro 2 in win98)
I don't know why... (I will try later to run this game in windows 98...
maybe I did something wrong..
I didn't use any patch...

There are a few more graphical enhancements when you enable T&L but nothing amazing.
You can enable it even if your card doesnt support T&L but you will take a performance hit, still if your system is fast enough you can play smoothly even without a T&L accelerated card.
