Hey all, currently i'm using a host, and they're really starting to upset me, so I was wondering. If I were too set up a webserver on my comp, along with the mailserver and all that, and pointed the nameservers to my ip. Would it also start having the mail sent there? oir is there something other then the nameservers I have to change, in order to recieve the e-mail for that webadress?

No, that sounds like it. Set up a mailserver and change the nameservers to point at your IP.

As long as you have a static ip this will work quite easily. It's still possible with a dynamic ip, just more difficult...

First setup your mailserver software on your computer. Then either go to http://www.mydns.com/ or the place where you registerred your domain name (if they offer DNS services) and point the MX records to your ip. Change the dns servers for your domain to whatever is necessary (ns1.mydns.com, ns2.mydns.com, etc.). Within 48 hours you should start getting mail on your new server :)
