Question about lowering ram timings with divider

Alright running a s754 3400+ @ 2.6ghz 1 gig Pc3500 hyperx @ 180 9/10 divider I believe on a DFI 250gb

Fsb is at 217 @ 12x

My ram is rated 2.5,3,3,8 @ 217 mhz

My question is...

SinceI'm running my ram at lower than 217 because of the divider, does that sometimes lead to the ability of tighter timings since it's running less than actual rated 217 default @ 2.5,3,3,8

You probably can tighten timings a bit, but you'd get a bigger boost to just to run your ram at 1:1 divider. Its pc3500 ram so its rated for 216mhz. It should easily be able to hit 217mhz should be fine.
