This thread, posted by Fritzo, was not about the news. People post news stories all the time in OT and they go ignored. His post was about the joke.

Allisolm locked it and linked this thread being the original and containing the joke that Fritzo was "supposedly" reposting, but the joke is not in that thread.

They're two different threads, related only by a common news story. Multiple threads regarding the same topic occur constantly in OT. Why choose now to start locking them, even when there's only TWO? And the funniest one gets locked? Come on...

I don't know what OT you read, but I see locked reposts all the time....

There's no reason he couldn't have posted that joke in the original thread. I don't see what the big deal is.

It's a joke thread. What's he going to do, go searching for a NEWS thread? In Off Topic? Just so he can post his joke? If searching for NEWS threads, he should be searching through P&N, which he wouldn't have found the original fail-thread. He's not reposting the damn news story, he's posting a JOKE and one that hasn't been told before. There's TONS of other shit that goes on in OT that doesn't get locked. This just seems so ridiculously petty. It was a MUCH better joke than the other joke thread in OT.

The title of his thread is "Cher's Daughter Chastity Is Having A Sex Change.... " and there is already a thread about that in which, as Crusty said, he could have posted the joke. I did not say the joke had been posted in the original thread. You're entitled to think it's petty if you wish.
