Hey everone , my computer doesnt even start.

when it starts to load windows 98, i get an error message that says the following:

windows xms driver v. 3.95

xms version 3
error: himem.sys has detected unreliable xms memory at address 001020f8
agp xms driver installed

then the computer wont let me go any further...... any ideas what this could be refering to ?

im running 900mhz duron
pc chips motherboard with integrated video, lan, and sound
256 megs ram generic
20 gig hard drive

-thx

Seems like you have a problem with your RAM. Swap your DIMM out for another one and see if you still have that problem,.

i put in another 256 slab and now there is no video at all. the computer turns on but no video.

what does that xms error message refer to ?
