I am adding a second TV to my house soon, I am buying direct from Tivo, so i figured I might as well just pick up the extra adaptor I need for it as well from them. I currently use all Linksys networking stuff. My current tivo is using the wireless B adaptor from linksys. I plan to move that system and adaptor upstairs, and go with wired downstairs(will have to get another cable though).
Anyways, there are 2 wired adaptors from Linksys on the tivo site. The USB200M, and the USB100TX. I have checked thier specs on linksys' site. The 100TX appears to be USB 1.1, and the 200M is 2.0. It is my understanding that the speed is not an issue with the tivo system. But oddly the 100TX is like 44 bucks, while the 200m was like 24. Why is the faster one less?
I plan to get the 200M, just want to make sure I am getting the right thing. It just seems odd that the newer better equipment would be cheaper.
