I had a bit of confusion on the new LGA 775 chipset motherboards. These are the fastest and latest, correct? I understand that they used to be used for workstations and servers, but are they now being used for home personal computing? I'm probably going to build a new computer soon, and I was checking out parts on Newegg, so I just wanted to make sure I cleared up any confusion.
Also, PCI Express graphics cards seem cheaper than their AGP counterparts. Why is this?
I'm guessing because its a new technology and they haven't gotten a chance to create all the high-end products that AGP already supports.
Thanks a lot!
P.S. I've been doing a TON of price matching on the internet, but I was wondering if there was any super cheap place for parts that I haven't heard of yet. I obviously know of NewEgg which is arguably the best, and have used pricegrabber and pricewatch, but I was wondering if there were any more sources I should check out.
