What kind of usb cable does it need? Rectangular on both ends, or rectangle on one end and square on the other?

Just guessing, but I've never seen a USB printer/scanner that doesn't need one end rectangular, one end hexagonal. It would come with whatever cable is needed anyway, though.

this printer didnt come with the cable...It costs me $20 and it came with a color cartridge too. So i think they got lazy on the cable. Anyone know what kinda USB cable this printer model needs? (i'd check, but my brother took it with him to his dorm)

Printers almost never come with a cable. They do that to keep the price of the printer rock bottom to appeal to consumers.

Any USB printer I've seen uses the rectangular plug on one end and rounded plug on the other.

I have a z32 and it didn't come with the USB Cable. I had to buy one, the one I got it rectangle (regular USB cable shape) and square on the other end. When you buy it, it will probably mention for use with printers on the package..

all printers use the same USB interface as stated by me4get, or simply the square end goes into the printer, and the rectangle back of your computer or hub. :)
