Well I shouldn't say it's not an option. I just occasionally enjoy getting drunk and having fun with friends. It sounds like Lexapro taxes the liver to begin with and alcohol would be pretty rough on it.

I was on lexapro for about a month and a half. It made me into a freakin zombie. It's like I was a whole other person. I couldn't think for myself at all or fuction as a normal human being. It was awful.....

I don't drink, so I can't tell you about alcohol and Lexapro. But I do have some stories. If I did not eat before taking it, I puked. Every single time. Effective at stopping depression, but nasty, nasty shiat. I take Wellbutrin now, and it's much milder. Wellbutrin (without food) merely burns my stomach. 🙂

Having worked in a pharmacy for some years I always recommend avoiding alcohol and medication together. Sure many drugs say there's no problem, but only because the FDA couldn't find a conclusive link to warrant such a warning. Drug companies try hard to avoid labels on common medications, such as for depression, diabetes, cholosterol, acid reflux, etc. that prohibit their use with something as common as alcohol consumption to encourage widespread use.
In short, if you can avoid mixing alcohol with any prescription drugs, I suggest you do so.

Yeah I don't want a new liver down the road. If im gonna drink i'll only have like 1 beer ever so often, I don't think that will hurt much.
I'm a little worried from the other posts how this stuff is gonna make me feel. It seem's totally different for each person.
