Question about Las Vegas hotels

Here's the dilemma:

Five people will be heading to Vegas on Friday. Four people will be joining up on Saturday night.

Most hotels (except 1) won't take reservations for just Saturday. Instead, they want you to reserve for Friday+Saturday. For that reason, I'm thinking about reserving a nice suite, something in the range of 800 - 1200 sq ft, for 2 nights. However, the maximum occupancy for these suites is only 4-5 people.

What would happen if 5 people were to stay on Fri (legitimate) and 9 people on Saturday without the knowledge of the hotel staff? What can they do?

Are you kidding? (I think he's kidding)

I say party on, and if they complain, just slip them a little extra cash.

Throw you out if they feel like it. If you don?t draw attention then the hotel won?t care. If security has to respond to a noise complaint then your SOL.

They'll just figure the extra folks are hookers you picked up in the lounge and ignore them.

We won't be in our rooms most of the time anyways, just a place to sleep at 3-4 in the morning. Mainly, just need the space.

Wont be a problem then. We use a room occupancy limit to sell more rooms but we dont enforce it.

We love to stay at Harrahs and wish we could afford Ceasers.

Yeah I highly doubt any hotel would care, since you could always say they're friends from a different hotel if anyone comes in while you're partying, and they're not likely to break into the room while you're all sleeping to enforce rules.

I don't think any hotel cares as long as you settle your tab when you leave. I checked in by myself, reservation with my name only, and I ask for 4 keys all the time.

Our last stay was with the kids at the Excalibur. They had a security gaurd posted at the elevator entrance to each tower who would check to see if you had a room key. They stopped two guys with armfuls of booze but no room keys. Most ppl just got let up without hassel when it was busy. Good luck.

The Excalibur has done that as long as I can remember. I've stayed there several times for Comdex.

They don't check the actual room number or anything, so just check in with 5 people, get 5 keys and just go up in groups of 3 or something.

We've stayed at the Imperial Palace the past two years. You could do whatever and they didn't care. I think we ended up getting over 5 extra key over the weekend.

I have a question for the OP.....

If the first 5 people board the 8:00AM train out of houston taveling West at an average of 50mph, and the last 4 people board the bus out of Seattle traveling Southeast at an average of 63 mph which group will arrive to the suite in Vegas first.... and how many minutes behind will the other group be?

k, thx. :p

Careful. Remember what happened in "Very Bad Things"?

Anyway, try not to get ripped off when visiting Vegas. I got a basic jacuzzi room at Caesars for 300 a night.
Found out later, (through friends), I could have had a genuine suite for less money if I had just driven a little further down the road.

Some hotels will charge an extra occupancy fee over 2 persons in one room. For instance when I stayed at the Tropicana in Atlantic City they would of charged us an extra 50 dollars for every extra person. It also depends on the fire code in Vegas. Never been there although I always wanted too. Could be illegal too. And they have cameras located outside the hallway, yes. Mostly for security reasons. For instance, one time when I left my door ajar by accident, security arrived only 5 mins later after I entered the room. So they do have ways of checking if they want to be anal.

The Imperial Palace wouldn't have given a sh!t. We found a passed out girl in her doorway. I did the nice and honest thing....ran and I got my camera and took pictures of her passed out ass. I'll post links of them tomorrow, hilarious.
