My brother is a Marine, so he has a hard time getting to a computer let alone on a tech forum, so heres the question he has:
His IPod is a 20 gig, and when he plugged it in and checked it out he found that he is starting with only 16 Gigs memory capacity. Do the ipods need to use up 4 gigs for other uses? or has he gotten an ipod with a "Hard drive" that wasnt written very well? I know computer hard drives rarely equal exactly up to the memory space advertised, and is this the same deal on the ipods?
