Question about IO Panel for motherboard

hey guys really quick question...i just switched mobos recently from onboard lan/audio to just a barebones mobo w/o any of these features

however the new mobo did not come with a new IO panel (OEM) so i'm left with the old one and now i just have open holes where my LAN and onboard sound used to poke out

is it bad to leave these holes open? or should i do something llike buy some electrical tape and plug them up? i remember on an old asus mobo...the asus cusl2-c...the board came with a sticker to plug up the empty slots "to prevent electrical damage to the system...thanks for your help guys!

I don't think you really have to worry about it. The electrical components are grounded anyway. I run half my systems with the sides off anyway, what's the difference?
