I'm leaving London tonight, and I really need to charge my DVD player before I go. The easy solution would be to go and get a power adaptor (the DVD player does work on 220V), but I don't want to do that. In my bathroom, I have an outlet that fits American plugs that says 115V on the top of it, but theres also a picture of a shaver. Will it fry my DVD player, or should it be fine?

if the dvd player says 110V it will get fried.
Some of the cheaper dvd players support 110-220 V. Those should work

The shaver socket will provide 110 V - but the safety transformer in the outlet is very weak, and may not be able to cope with the DVD charger. Try it and see what happens?

Any chance of it frying or is it safe?
