Question about Intel's on-board video & large LCDs

I just purchased a Samsung Syncmaster 204B yesterday and so far I must say, I like it :) This one is set up at home, but I think I could really put a larger screen like this to good use at work, too. So I am considering either taking this one to work, or purchasing a second one to take up there. The only real problem might be this:

Our computers at work only use intel's integrated graphics chipsets. I don't doubt that they'll do 1600x1200, but what about rotation? This particular monitor can be swiveled into a portrait mode which, when the video is rotated also, would give me 1600 lines of vertical resolution - great for programming, where I like to be able to see as much of the code as I can. Would this work?

What onboard gfx, just knowing intel is not enough. I bet you it will do that resolution without problem, most graphic cards/onboard within the past 2-3 years can do that without a problem.

Off the top of my head, I'm not sure. The PC itself is a P-4 based dell, maybe a year old.

Some Intel GMAs suck badly enough to limit you to really low resolutions, however there is always a chance you can do 1600x1200 for code

I know they suck for 3D; I have no intentions of using the screen at work for that sort of stuff. I'm just trying to find out if the these chipsets can do rotation, so that I can use the screen in Portrait mode.
