Question about Intel S Specs

This chart Pentium® III Processor Sspec Information seems to suggest that SL4MF is the only retail 1GHz FCPGA P3 and that it's a cC0 stepping. Is this true? Weren't there cB0 flipchips @ 1GHz? Likewise, this Dec/2000 update doesn't seems to list any P3 1GHz cB0 FCPGA.
P3 Specification Update

I can't find a store locally that will guarantee a cC0 stepping but teh Intel docs suggest that I can't lose as long as I buy a 1GHz flipchip. If this is wrong, please enlighten me.

peemo, will you be wanting a retail(sold in a sealed intel box & has a HSF combo) or an OEM(just the chip in an antistatic bag) cpu?
the retail box has a product code id on it, the Sspec identifier being at the end of the code. you can thus tell if you're getting the correct stepping provided you know what the stepping code you require.
for an OEM chip you have to look for the Sspec markings on the chip itself!
hope that helps

Thanks. My problem is that I can't order the CPU from the local shop I normnally deal with and then look at the box (yes, I would buy retail) and say, "Send it back, I want a cC0". And they can't seem to specify a cC0 from their supplier. Hence, my attempt to determine whether all P3 1GHz FCPGAs are cC0.

I got two matched 866's from Accubyte after a long and intensive 3 week search to find a retailer who would could match steppings for my dual system. I called them up and spoke with a salesman who was VERY nice and willing to answer each and every question I had. He made me a deal I couldn't refuse over the phone. I got brand new cC0 processors within a week.

Call them up during normal business hours and maybe you can get them to work with you. Their number is 630-832-9200. They usually have the lowest or almost the lowest prices.

Good luck!

Thanks techfuzz, I'll check them out. Hope they'll ship to the frozen North (Toronto). Cheers.
