i am installing an asus a7v133 into an antec sx830 and was wondering how many brass standoffs i'm supposed to use? I guess you just use as many as you can? also, does it matter which screws i use to attach the mb? the case only came with 4 long screws so it looks like either those aren't the right ones or i need to mix them up. or does it matter what kind you use? thanks!

Actually the small screws are the one I used and they work fine. You'll know which one I mean if you just try screwing it in most of the way by hand and the correct screw should get in quite easily. Just tighten with a screwdriver and you're cool. I was gonna use the long ones as well but mine only came with four so I just said f@ck it. As far as the standoffs, I just put as many of them in as my motherboard had holes available. It's an awesome case and an even better mobo.

thanks...one more question. the four holes on the mb that surround the socket don't line up with the standoff holes on the case. should i leave the standoffs in and basically have them for support under the processor, or should i take them out?

for now i left the extra brass standoffs in for support. which little screws did you use? the one's with the rounded tops that are flat underneath, or the one's with the flat top (but slightly countersunk) that are sort of segmented underneath?

NO! If they don't line up w/ a hole in the Mobo, take the copper standoffs out. I once left one in that didn't line up and it caused a short in the motherboard. I've also heard stories of people frying their boards because of that...

ok, i'll take them out. it's just that the board has four holes directly surrounding the socket and none of them line up but i was worried that there wouldn't be enough support underneath and thought the board could break if i were to push down too hard on the processor while installing it.

i can't eve get the long screws to go in all the way so if i can figure out which shorter ones to use i will go with those...i don't want the motherboard wiggling around in the case.

The 4 around the socket are purely for a certain type of HS that mounts that way, not to mount the MB to the case.
