Question about Installer folder under Windows

On a server, I have seen a lot of big files in the C:\Windows\Installer folder.

I was wondering, can I safely delete these to reclaim space?
 
Without searching first, I can tell you the folder is only visible when I tell Windows not to hide protected operating system files, which leads me to believe that folder is not safe to delete.
