Is it possible to link 2 checking accounts to my ING account? And if so, has anyone done this? Good idea bad idea?
The reason I ask, I currently have it linked to a checking account that I don't keep much money in. One of my other accounts has alot of money saved up and I'd like to transfer it to ING. I just dunno if anyone has had any problems with anything like this.

TIA! :)

yes it is possible. there are instructions on the website, just click externally linked accounts.

you just have to send a check from the 2nd account you want to link to this address on the site, made out to yourself...pretty simple.

oh and i have it set up that way myself. no issues so far...

Yup, you just send in a check made out to yourself with like the account number on it, I think you can have 3 links.

ING rocks. I don't have a direct account. I have a 401a with them that my employer populates for me... :p I just haven't looked into their accounts yet. What does a direct account get you exactly?

* Please send us a personal check (for at least $1.00) made out to yourself, and drawn against the account you want linked.
* Include the word "Link", followed by your ING DIRECT Customer Number in the memo field of the check, make sure you sign it, and send it to the address below.
Do I need to sign the back of the check as well? Or leave it unsigned?

They pay 3% interest right now which changes with the market but is usually better than your local savings bank.
