Question about Infraview and VCD

I'm trying to make an auto running slide show VCD. Infraview seems to be able to do this however when I put the resulting VCD into a computer, nothing happens. There is no executable of any kind on the VCD. Just how are these things supposed to work ?

i could be way off here, but i though VCD's played on a DVD player or DVD ROM....
