Question about I Wanna Rules

Why can't we post at most one reply to a request in the I wanna thread? This way we can help other people who might also want the same thing. This might keep people from posting their I wanna requests in the main forum. I thought the main point of these posts is so lots of people can view the posts without having to write one to one.

The problem is, if one, two, or seven people respond within the thread, you've got potentially 7 times as many posts. That makes for a chaotic thread. To keep things manageable, given the format of the forum posts, it's best to keep the number of replies to zero. There would be no real way to hold things to one possible reply as a thread can get simultaneously posted to multiple times by individuals who think they each have given the sole response.

I've posted in the I wanna threads on occassion and I've been pleased overall with the response. I posted about wanting some speakers and 2 different people contacted me via PM in the next few days with a deal and/or a link. Worked great for me. If I did happen to see someone else posting a similar request, I could first ask them if they'd gotten any response.

If you want a more immediate response, try PM'ing a member or two that seem to either a) be interested in similar things, b) be prominent in the forum and could point you in the write direction, or c) be devilishly handsome/gorgeous. The I Wanna thread is a good effort to keep the posts to hot deals only. It doesn't catch everything and it may not be flawless, but it's been proven to work.
