I need to take I-70 W through St. Louis. Can I take the MLK Bridge instead of the mess known as the Poplar St. Bridge? From what I can tell online the MLK bridge looks like it directly connects to I-70 on both sides of the river. I just don't want to get stuck in the ghetto there due to bad signage or whatever.

where are you coming/going to? if you passing through, like Chicago to Denver, then:

if you are passing through east/west or west/east, you might want to consider I-64 as an alternate route, there is a small section of it on the west side that isn't finished, but i prefer that route over the straight I-70 route

I'm going east -> west I-64 to I-70. I'll essentially be taking I-70 across the river since I-64 joins up on the east side. The MLK bridge seems like a good shortcut, I just want to make sure I'm not getting into somewhere I don't want to be. From Google Maps it looks like it's a simple exit from I-70 onto MLK and then a ramp from MLK right back to I-70 on the west side of the river.
