**I did searching but could not find my answer, so sorry if this is a repost of a previous question**

Ok, I need a new 60mm fan for my heatsink. I have a Athlon XP2000+ processor and I want to run it cool but yet keep it quiet. I'm borrowing my friend's fan and the CPU temp sits around 48-49 C so its not so bad.

For a new fan, should I get a 80mm to 60mm converter and stick a Panaflo L1A on there or what? Also, what is the recommended CFM that a 2000+ should have to stay stable and work well? Any recommendations on a 60mm fan?

well, panaflo l1a (which i have) are only around 25 CFM. Would that do? Also they do not have the 3 pin connector and I am not real sure how to make or where to get the adapter (if there even is one)
 
Yes, a panaflo would do, but it seems like that solution would cost as much as a new heatsink and fan. The Speeze with a 80mm fan (check Newegg) would do great.

i agree with Cerb. speeze heatsinks are cheap but they perform fairly well
 
i might be confused...but i only need a fan not a new heatsink. Would there be any reason to replace my heatsink? And I already have the Panaflo L1A fans so all I need is the 80mm to 60mm converters so there isn't that much cost? Am I wrong somewhere?

No. I don't believe you mentioned having the L1As around. See, if you didn't, then it'd cost as much and be far more effective to get a new HSF instead.

Because it would cost near $12 if not more to get a 80->60mm converter and a L1A.
The Speeze I mentioned is very, very good for the money--as good or better than AMD's retail coolers, and quiet.
