Is it better to have 3.0 gpa in courses taken in difficult classes or 3.5 or above in regular classes?

High school does not matter. A GED will get you into college.

3.0 in tougher courses. And by tougher, I assume AP/Honors courses. Colleges like to see that you challenged yourself, and still did well.

lol, not even alot of state colleges anymore. From what I was told a 3.0 will look much better in a challenging (college-level) class than a 3.5 in a normal HS class.

Grades in high school?

The only thing that matters about getting into college is $$$. All they see on your application is dollar signs.
