Question about HP2100TN on network

OK, one of the companies I take care of has a HP2100TN with the ethernet connection, and its drivers are on a server running NT4. Most computers print to it fine, but others, after spooling the print job, do nothing until you walk over and hit the print button, then it prints ok... I can't find any reason for it, but I'm no pro when it comes to printer problems.... It's got the latest drivers, and all the machines in question also run NT4. Its not a HUGE problem, but they are complaining anyways.... anyone have any ideas? My boss mumbled something about someone messing with the defaults but that didnt make any sense to me, and she couldnt ever get it fixed.....

Hi there!

There is a solution for this. The printer is stuck on Manual Feed. This explains why you have to push GO/print every time to print out a document. You have to connect this printer to a computer via parallel cable and get a dos utility from the HP printer drivers page there you can configure the printer and take the manual feed off.

With best regards,
Ivar

Make sure its set to A4 for paper size.
For some reason it likes to set "Letter" as the preferred size.
This need to be done in two places on the server hosting the printer.
Problem is that if set to Letter it likes to turn on Manual Feed by itself.
