Question about hooking up USB 2.0 in an Antec case

I am thinking of getting the Antec Sonata, but its front USB ports are not listed as 2.0. Could I still hook them up to my MSI K8N Neo2 Platinum board, and would they then work as USB 2.0? Or would they just function as USB 1.1? Or would they not work at all?

If they won't function as USB 2.0 ports, what are some other options to get front USB 2.0 ports on the Antec Sonata case?

Cheers,
Jeff

They would function as USB 2.0 IIRC. I set up a system with a Sonata and the Socket 754 MSI board for a friend's friend and everything seemed to work perfectly.

Forgive my ignorance, but is USB 2.0 IIRC any different from regular USB 2.0? (Or is USB 2.0 the same thing as USB 2.0 IIRC?) I did a google search and couldn't find any clear definitions.

Anyway, I'll give it a try. Thanks MDE.
