I am thinking about re-installing HL2 (in fact, downloading it now) but I am confused about the current state of updates and mods available, especially in regards to the difference of "unofficial mods" and the latest, official update.
Years ago I played the "cinematic mod", but there have been too many changes which I don't like, it actually takes away the very unique HL2 feeling.
Now there is another mod, the "unoffocial Philip Victor mod" which seems to be currently available in V2 with the latest, V3, "coming soon", but it seems that development halted or something.
And then there is the latest, OFFICIAL update of HL2 which I think was just released a month or so (?) ago.
I am now confused in regards to what to play and whether to install a mod, such as..when I install the "Phillip Victor unofficial mod", has this any enhancements over the latest, official update? The main goal is to update HL2 graphically however I want to keep original game play.
