Question about heat sink fans for my gf3 ti 200

I just purchased an asus gf3 ti 200 card that is passively cooled. I'm not going to overclock or anything but I would like to maximize it's lifespan, so would the fan that came with my volcano 6cu heatsink work out?

Isn't the fan on the Volcano a good bit bigger than the graphics card HS? At any rate, you'd probably just be better off buying the TT crystal orb and replacing the HS that came with the card all together. If you're really not going to be overclocking the Ti200 (which you can do pretty easily), you probably don't really need the fan (though most have them). With Ti200s going for <$50, there doesn't seem to be that much point in stretching out a little more life from a product that could very well out-live any fan you put on it, even without the fan. Or it could die next week, even with the fan. 🙂

good point danzilla 🙂 ! i just bought the card for $35 so it's def not worth it to pay another 10 bucks for an orb.
