Question about hardware on a CUSL2 mobo?

i have a CUSL2 that i am going to put to use in the next week or so. i was looking at the board and noticed this black piece of plastic surrounding the AGP slot (not covering the slot, but lining the ouside edges). i havent tried to put a card in yet, but i was wondering if any knows what this piece of plastic is? will my card fit into the slot with that black piece of plastic around it? is it there for shipping purposes only and should it be removed b4 i use the AGP slot? i did try pulling on it slightly, and from what i can tell, its on there pretty tight, so i'm not sure if it was meant to be taken off. any suggestions would be great. thanks guys...

remove that for the onboard AIMM (memory for onboard video) otherwise, dont touch.

AGP doesn't use that section.
