Question about Halo

How do I retrive a saved game? Whenever I turn off the xbox and start it back up I have to play the whole level over again. Isn't there any way to continue where I left off?

I've been through the same level now 3 times and while the game kicks total ass I'm getting rather sick of the same level.

you have to get to a certain point.. where it automaticly saves

How do I go about loading from that point though?

Yep. The silent criptographer and stuff like that. Other then that, if you're currently playing, you can go to a mini-save spot.

Halo autosaves at each checkpoint, if you press start and choose "save and quit," It will save at the last completed checkpoint. For the most part, checkpoints are located often enough so that you don't miss too much.

i dont exactly remember.. i dont have an xbox.. i just know when u beat a certain chapter or whatever.. u can access it from then on

Thanks for the responses guys, but HOW do I access these saved games?
Whenever I go to my Profile and select it I get brought back to the beginning of the level.

You're not doing something right apparently - if you Save and Quit a game in progress where you have passed a checkpoint, when you go back to your profile, it will say something along the lines of "Game in progress on such and such level" blah blah.

Yeah, I figured that out
I thought the game autosaved every time I passed a checkpoint and there would be a folder full of files on the Xbox's hard drive. Thinking that the game Autosaved I didn't bother doing the "Save and Quit" option
Oh well, at least it's a fun level. Not sure what it's called but you get to drive a tank for the first time
