Ok....this is gonna seem very weird, but whatever. It's on my mind so I'm gonna ask

I'm curious....girls and there period....is there a certain average time period between a girls period, or are there some girls that rarely ever have a period?

Yes, I am serious about this question...

Not a girl, but I know it's supposed to be 28 days (but varies girl to girl).

Sounds like someone has done the cho-cho-cha-cha without properly covering his shining knight! :)

Periods are wonderful things ;) Chicks can miss their period if they are pregnant or really stressed out. Sometimes they will be late for no reason whatsover, or early... Some chicks only get them once every two months, although the norm is every month :)

Not all women get noticeable PMS.

oral contraceptives often make a woman's cycle nearly disappear. Also, women who are abnormally thin (too little body fat) or exercising too much may have amenorrehea, or complete cessation of their period.

Thinner girls bleed a lot less during their periods. Weight is a big issue for some reason. I once had a 92 lb girlfriend (24 years old), it was great. You can figure out the rest.

thin girls do not bleed less. my skinnest friends have the heaviest flows, and because they're so darn skinny, the get anemic and pass out. back in HS, every month, i'd be prepared to catch my gf because one minute, she'd be complaining about cramps and the next, she'd be headed toward the floor

It's not necessarily being thin that causes a cessation of menstruation, but women/girls who are anorexic/bulemic/exercise excessively frequently have very irregular cycles and may stop menstruating altogether. There are also a lot of other health problems that can affect it.

However, even though they may not be getting their period, that doesn't mean they aren't going through the monthly hormonal cocktail that is PMS. And a lot of women who are regular don't have any PMS symptoms at all.

Just to keep things interesting, all women really are different and you'll never be able to generalize about why women do one thing or another. :D

I'm personally getting sick of this taboo men have about women and their period! Hate PMS...embarassed to buy tampons...it's so childish and stupid. If you really want to love a woman, you got to love the whole woman, including that. Many women feel "ugly" during their period and even during later stages of pregnancy, so it's all the more reason for a guy to lift his woman up and support her, tell her how beautiful she is. Menstruation is just another wonderful part of nature. Get use to it and embrace it.
