Question about gamecard/DirectX/Win98 and Win2K...

I have a specialized gaming card made by PDPI called a Lightening 4. It's an ISA based digital gameport with proprietary drivers. Officially the drivers are for Win95 but work under Win98SE...at risk of sounding like a complete moron...is there any chance in hell they will work under Win2k? Since I don't completely understand how DX makes the jump from 98 to 2000 I thought maybe there was a chance for me...

What's the worst that can happen if I try to install the gameport software?

there's usually a slight chance that nt4 drivers will work in win2k. there's even LESS of a chance that win9x drivers will do so.

BUT, i dont' foresee any harm in trying. worst case, it will give you an error or just crash or something.
