Question about game CD

OK, I don't *think* this is a problem or wrong........but not sure either......

My boys each have computers and are both into playing COD. We have the game we bought but need two CD's.........I tried just copying the CD with Nero and CDClone but it wouldn't. Then downloaded and tried Alcohol 120% just to see if my programs wouldn't do it...but, Alcohol wouldn't either........

I don't believe making a copy so my boys can both play at the same time is illegal......but how can you do this or do I actually have to buy the game twice??

If they're both trying to play online you'll need to purchase a second copy.

If not, install the game on both computers with the official CDs then use nocd cracks.

And yes it might still beillegal. You purchased one copy of the game so you can only use one copy of the game. You could make an arguement that if one was playing at one time and the other played at a different time that then it was only technically being used one at a time.... But I'm pretty sure that's still technically illegal because lots of EULAs specify it cna only be installed on one computer at a time.

OK, thanks guys......I was told by someone else that as long as you bought a legal copy and the game offered multi-player support that making a second copy was legal, but the more I search, I believe he may have been incorrect. We'll just buy a second copy I suppose!

I ocassionally (when the nephew visits) play COD on LAN with my son and nephew via one cd installed on 3 machines and using the nocd crack.

If anyone doesn't like that they can bite me. I shell out many hundreds of dollars per year to various gaming/software/computer and console companies...
