Stupid question but if I got a double pumped 100mhz fsb with my amd duron/athlon (200mhz) and I got PC133 ram does it mean that my CPU transfers with my memory at 200mhz (100mhz both ways) and my memory transfers with my chipset (cpu) at 133mhz? And what exactly does the chipset do? Does it take the processed information and distribute that binary code to the parts in the PC that need it IE My video card with processed video information...or stuff uploading to my modem. Dumb questions..Im still learning please explain thanks guys!

NO your memory is not running at 200mhz...It is either running at host_clk (bios setting) which is 100 or it is running host_clk+pci which pci is 1/3 multiplier of host clock or 133...if you oc your fsb up say to 110 like me and you are running host_clk means memory is at 110, if running host_clk+pci then its is 110+(1/3 of 110) or 36 for 146mhz...hence the need for 150mhz rated memory...

I don't know anout the inner workings or signals things send to one another...so I will leave that to the experts...
