My local computer technicians are building my system today with Intel 160 gb g2 ssd. New firmware is not quite released yet but they tell me to run it as is for a while then install new firmware when it has proven stable. will I get the full benefits if TRIM if I install it a month down the road? ( Win 7 Pro will be op system ) Thanks.

Yes, most definately. Your system builder is smart to try and convince you to wait until the revised firmware/updater is released near the end of this month. Which is what I am doing as well.

But going ahead and using the drive normally until then should not cause any issues fragmentation wise or other, correct?

The Intel SSDToolbox "wiper" tool will not work until the firmware is upgraded.
I thought it was clear from the context, that he should use the wiper tool once AFTER he upgraded the firmware.

Well apparently not so.. Use the wiper tool once after you upgrade your firmware and afterwards let TRIM do the work.
