I currently have a PPGA Celeron 366 @ 458, Abit BH6 slot 1 MB with an Asus Slocket. I just bought a FC-PGA Celeron 700. Will I be able to simply put the new Celeron into my Slocket and everything will work correctly? If not, what do I need to do? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on the BH6 revision/bios and you'll need a coppermine capable slocket. Looks like you have a first gen ppga slocket with that setup.

Thanks for the reply. What kind of slocket is compatible with Coppermines then? I would like to pick one of those up...

The 700 celeron II is a FC-PGA as you know and requires a FC-PGA Sloket. Don't know if the Asus Slocket is FC-PGA. If it is, you should be fine if you flash to the latest bios "bh6ss.exe for pre rev 1.1 boards and bhp32sp.exe for rev 1.1"(http://www.abit.com.tw/english/index.htm). Just put a P3700e@933 in my brother in laws BH6 (rev 1). Had to flash to the ss bios and everything works great, even though Abit says the bh6 can't do coppermine. If the Asus Slocket is not FC-PGA then get a MSI MS-6905 master or Iwill II slocket. These are two of the best slockets, especially for overclocking...Hope this helps... :-]

I'm using a Asus S370-133 Adapter to run a cel533@850 on a BH6 (running bh6_ss.bin bios(pre ver1.1)).
