Question about Fastwrites!

Happy Holidays everyone,
I was looking over my display adapter settings on my 9500 Pro card and noticed fastwrites was off. What is fastwrites and what does it do? Can i enable it? And if i do enable it will i see performance increases?

You won't see much of a performance increase, if at all, but you may see a decrease in stability. Leave it off.
