I have a Silverstone LC13B-E case that has 1 optional place/hole for a fan on the side of the case. You can look up the manual on the website (model LC13-E) to see what I am talking about.

There is a piece of metal mesh covering the hole on the outside of the case. The piece of mesh has hooks that are hooked into notches surrounding the hole. I bent the hooks and removed the piece of mesh to install the fan. I hope that was correct.

Anyway, the 4 screw holes for this particular fan hole are very small (much smaller than the usual x-large screws that come with the usual fans. Is there a special fan that I am supposed to buy that has special small screws? I haven't seen anything like this before

One other general question about this case. The bag of screws has 4 really long screws that are only threaded near the tip and 4 similar type screws that are a bit shorter. What are these for?

I have a silverstone LC-series HTPC case and the long screws are for the fans (You should have 4) The way they go on put fan in place and the slide the screws into the fan (the screws go through both sets of monting holes) and no you did not need to remove the mesh

Aren't the 4 screw holes in a fan very large? I picked up both a 2 ball-bearing 80mm Coolmax fan and an Antec TriCool fan and both have 4 very thick (fat?) screws for 4 very wide holes in the four corners of the fan

I don't understand how you can use those long screws without taking the mesh off?? Do they screw into the holes from inside the case? Nevermind, I see that you can tighten all 4 of those long screws so that the fan isn't going anywhere.
