So my dentist recommended I buy a Waterpik.
I checked into Amazon and I found this one with nearly 12K reviews.
https://www.amazon.com/Waterpik-Accepted-WP-660-Aquarius-Flosser/dp/B00HFQQ0VU?th=1

On the same page, I scrolled down there was a Chinese version (H2ofloss.com) of a Waterpik for less than half the price, and 3K reviews
https://www.amazon.com/H2ofloss-Capacity-Multifunctional-Countertop-Irrigator/dp/B010NNIZQE

I plugged each product into fakespot to see what they thought of the reviews.
To my surprise, the Chinese Waterpik knockoff was given an A for +90% high quality reviews.

The waterpik was given an F rating for 86% low quality reviews.
https://www.fakespot.com/product/waterpik-aquarius-water-flosser-wp-660c

Now this company H20floos, had another waterpik-type product:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B010NPLDPW/?

Fakespot gave a C rating with 35% low quality reviews on this. But Fakespot said the ratings were quite old so it asked if i wanted it analyzed again.
I clicked yes and it reanalyzed, then gave it a A with +90% high quality ratings.
https://www.fakespot.com/product/h2...pose-cellphone-size-oral-irrigatorhf-3premium

The re-analysis said this:
Our engine has detected that Amazon has altered and removed reviews from this listing. We approximate total reviews removed to be 436.
Previous analysis of this listing was an C grade

So essentially it says that nearly 1/2 of the reviews were removed by Amazon and it now has an A rating.

Do you guys really trust fakespot?

I would tend to agree with you on that 5K Amazon requirement but fakespot is saying 9976 (11,600 x 86%), reviews are suspect.
And this is from a company that's been in business for 56 years.

fakespot doesn't work so well anymore ever since Amazon's "crack down" on incentivized/free-item reviews. Those sellers just found ways to get around it and and fake reviews seem to be more abundant than ever.
