Question about Epox 8RDA3+ and Sil 3112 SATARaid controller driver

THis is a question to those using the Silicon Image Sil 3112 SATARaid controller on an Epox 8RDA3+ mainboard. The board comes with a diskette that includes driver version 1.00.28 (Feb '03). I searched for newer drivers but the Epox site was no help -- had no drivers at all for this mainboard. I checked Silicon Image site, and downloaded their latest drivers from Oct '03 (listed under Sil 3x12), but Windows XP said the driver files do not match my hardware. Finally I was able to find version 1.00.33 (May '03) on Asus FTP site. My question is, is anybody using a newer driver version than this and where did you obtain it? I ask this because I've been having lots of hard disk errors in Windows and I want to see if a new driver version can rectify it.
