Question about emoticons

When one wants to post a REPLY to a thread why are the emoticons not ALPHABETIZED in the drop-down list?

I asked this before. Zuni said there was a reason but wouldn't elaborate. I guess it had something to do with World War 3 and we peons wouldn't understand it.

Yeah, it makes it a bit difficult to find what you're looking for... I almost wish that the list were graphical, but if they did that they'd probably make it IE-only (says the hardcore FF user). :frown:

They seem to be in the order that they were made available. (creation date)

I was thinking the same thing since the cookie is listed last.
