Hi people - I need some opinion in here, guess my question will be just a stupid question - I'm still newbie

well, a friend of mine just bought Elixir RAM Memory, Dual Channel - 4GB x2
for upgrading his current memory (Kingston Value Ram - DDR3 - 2GB X 2)
the moment he come back, he ask me to put it on his computer to replace it
but I'm just wondering, is elixir a good brand?
I did read some articles about Elixir RAM, Nanya Technologies bla bla bla
some people did said it is a crap, but some said it is good, so I'm not sure if it is a good brand

I never heard about Elixir Memory before
Normally I would use Corsair, or Kingston

Any opinion guys? will the RAM will be reliable for working?

Install it and run a memory testing app. As a general rule, it will either work at stock settings, or not.

If Elixir is to Nanya as Crucial is to Micron, it should be good, but if Elixir is to Nanya what Spectek is to Micron, it should be as bad as Corsair or any other brand normally made from substandard chips and not tested strictly. I've had no problems with Elixir, but I've used very little of it.

Is Corsair's ram quality that bad? Are there any links about Corsair's substandard sourcing and testing?
