Question about ebay /paypal

I just sold an item on ebay and I'm getting " This item is pending payment through PayPal. " when I check the auction details. What exactly does that mean? I checked my paypal account and there is nothing there.

maybe that's why it says pending.
 
he used an echeck or his bank hasn't cleared it or he's unconfirmed or the moon phase isn't right or you touch yourself at night
