question about e-filing

I e-filed my taxes last thursday using TaxCut - how long does it usually take before the money is deposited in my checking account?

I didn't pay attention last year, but this year it's important.
If it doesn't get deposited by ~wednesday, my mortgage check is going to bounce 🙁
 
i did mine with turbo tax through the santa barbara bank thing, filed em on the 1st of feb, mailed the signature to the irs and money will be sent to my bank on friday, should be ready for me mon-tues...

takes about 2 weeks it seems...im sure you can check your tax status online somewhere through taxcut
 
Usually takes 7-10days to direct deposit. Go to the IRS website and use the "where is my refund option" . It will tell you when the funds should be deposited.

Next time to not try to pay a bill with funds that you do not have 100% confidence that will exist to cover the draft.

You should have gotten a confirmation on the fact that the e-file was received and it contains the expected date of funds will be deposited in your account.

That will be 13 days, I'd say it's fairly likely.

I've never had it take that long.

As EagleKeeper said though, that's a dangerous game to play.

i have it back in as little as 5 business days before. i don't know that you'll get it by wednesday though...

Feds seem to always have the funds delivered on Fridays
