question about dual/three fan hsf combos

So yeah...it has 3 fans and then plugs arent combined to make 1 plug. I only have space for 1 3pin plug. Can i somehow cut off the other two plugs, strip the wiring on the 3rd remaining one, and connect it like that? I really need to get this fan on today and dont have time to purchase one of those dual plug things

If by three prong you mean the fan header on the motherboard... I definately wouldnt wire all three to it. You would be in danger of really damaging your motherboard. I would tho splice the three together w/4prong for a hookup to the PSU.

lol...your msg came a little too late. I set it up and its working fine as of right now. I put some electrical tape around where i connected them all together to prevent and sort of shorting (hopefully). I know they sell dual connectors which merge 2 3 pin>> 1. What is the difference between what I'm doing and what the connecter does?
