Question about dual display

I just tossed on an extra old crt for my research work, and I realised how much this rules. So now it's a week later and I'm completely infatuated with the idea of having two monitors. I just have one question about this, is there anyway to make it so the secondary monitor can display windows while the primary is playing video games?

Thanks in advance.

It's possible, but not very practical. There are ways to do it, but generally if you're playing a game and you move the mouse off to the side of the screen (to the windows) the game will pause, minimize, whatever. Not fun.

depends on the game. I cant stand just using one monitor, i can run a movie on one and game on the other-or watch downloads.
With guild wars I can window the game and use the 2nd monitor just fine.

also for multitasking like that(fps game and movie) best to have hyper threading

How do you set it up so that you can game on both monitors at the same time? For my Radeon I can only game on one display or the other, never on both. I'v seen gaming across 2 monitors on nVidia cards before, though, but no clue how to do it.
