Question about Dual boot and partitions

I'm getting ready to build a system, and I will be using win2000 as my main OS, and I'm wanting the OS to be installed on C:, have D: as another partition to put everything else on....and here is my question, is it possible to have a 3rd partition, to install WinXP on? Drive E: I guess?
That way I could dual boot? And am I right in understanding that I need to install Win2000 first?

All of this will be on a WD 60gig HD.

Yes.

My partition schemes on one of my computers is:

1st Hard drive

C:\NTFS (Primary Partition) I have Win2000 and WinXP I386 folders on here along with hardware drivers.

D:\Win2K NTFS (Logical Partition)

E:\WinXP NTFS (Logical)

2nd Hard drive (Logical)

F:\Downloads (Logical)

G:\Mp3's (Logical)

H:\Apps (Logical)
