Question about DSL/Cable router with 10/100 switch

Could you buy a DSL/Cable router with a built in 4 port(or 8 port) 10/100 switch and use it as a switch until you get the broadband connection?

Sure can.

Just make sure to turn off the DHCP option which on the linksys comes enabled by default. Turn that off and you got yourself a plain jane switch.
